The SA20 2024 has started really well and we have got to see some great matches featuring in this season. There has already been some drama filled with big sixes and thrilling games in the tournament. This is definitely a good start to a relatively new T20 franchise league which is still in its early stages. The response of the crowd and the spectators have been amazing in this league and we wish to get more of this in the future as well. The best team in the league so far has been the Durban SuperGiants who have won their last three games really convincingly and look really good this season. The side is being led by South Africa left-arm spinner Keshav Maharaj, who will be happy to see his side perform well in the matches. The first game they won was against MI Cape Town, where Heinrich Klassen’s innings were the saving grace and the second game was another high-scoring phenomenon against the defending champs Sunrisers Eastern Cape which featured a brilliant all-round performance from JJ Smuts. The third game was a bit of a challenge but Klassen once again played a great innings to go along with an impressive spell from Reece Topley.

The 33-year-old has already had a great career in international cricket with 200+ wickets and is giving great spells for his side with the ball in this ongoing league. However, the cool and collective skipper of DSG was seen praying to lord Rama in the dressing room after every game. This shows the positive belief in Maharaj where he seems to be thanking God after every game.

Maharaj has proven that he is not only one of the smartest spinners but also a noble soul, who has great beliefs and wisdom.
