WATCH: Kuwait cricketer recreates Muttiah Muralitharan’s magic, video goes viral

In a video that is going viral, a Kuwait cricketer may have bowled the Ball of the Century. In a local game in a Middle Eastern country, the cricketer bowled a floater close to the wide line. The right-handed batter at the other end shuffled to the off-side. However, before he could even hit the ball, the White Kookaburra spun sharply and hit the stumps with the willow-wielder having no chance.

This reminded the fans about former Sri Lanka off-spinner Muttiah Muralitharan and Late Australia leg-spinner Shane Warne. Both spinners used to spin the ball sharply on occasion during their careers. Not to forget, during the 1993 Ashes, the late spinner bowled the Ball of the Century as he got the wicket of former England batter Mike Gatting. Talking about the 1999 World Cup winner, he has the second most wickets in Tests, i.e 708.

Only England pacer James Anderson with close to 700 wickets comes close to him. In his next three Tests against India, the 2010 T20 World Cup winner might even break the record or equal the record. The ongoing India vs England 2024 Test series has three games remaining and the Third Test will be played later this week. On the other hand, Murali’s record doesn’t seem to be broken anytime soon. Not to forget, the 1996 World Cup winner is not just the all-time highest-wicket taker in Tests (800) but is also the all-time highest in ODIs (515).

In early 2009, he broke the record of former Pakistan skipper Wasim Akram (503), who was the first bowler to get 500 ODI wickets. On the other hand, in the ongoing third T20I between Australia and West Indies, David Warner might be playing his last T20I at home before the T20 World Cup in June this year. He is batting on 78 off 42 balls including three sixes and nine fours.
