WATCH: MCG crowd dance to Hasan Ali’s moves at Boxing Day Test

After Travis Head, this time it was the Pakistani pacer Hasan Ali who is also undeniably one of the most jovial personalities in the team and consistently engages in playful antics on the field. This was evident on day 3 of the Boxing Day Test against Australia, as the crowd joined in the groove while Ali showcased his dance moves while fielding on the boundary.

The occurrence took place in the 53rd over of the innings, delivered by Aamer Jamal. Positioned on the boundary, Ali spontaneously broke into some dance moves, and the crowd eagerly joined in. Cricket Australia shared the video of this moment on their official platform, and it quickly gained widespread popularity. Australian batter Steve Smith was also seen smiling at the incident.

The Pakistani fast bowler was observed signing autographs on the boundary, and notably, one on a fan’s forehead, a photo of which is circulating on social media. In one such previous instance during the Test, he brought laughter to his fans by energetically shooing away pigeons from the field.

I haven’t heard these rumours about pace dropping: Hasan Ali

The dance moves and autograph signing followed several wicketless and somewhat unlucky spells by Hasan. Despite consistently troubling the batters in his initial 12 overs of the innings, he had yet to reap the rewards.

In the preceding innings, he managed to dismiss Usman Khawaja and Nathan Lyon in a spell spanning just under 24 overs. Addressing the criticism from certain Pakistani critics regarding the perceived lack of pace exhibited by the visiting fast bowlers in the three-match Test series, he expressed his perspective during a press conference.

“I don’t know whose pace has dropped as my focus has never been just on pace. I’ve never bowled at 150kph. I think it’s better to stick to the area around the top of off stump. I haven’t heard these rumours about pace dropping and we don’t care about them. Our focus is on the game & that’s where it should be,” he said.
