WATCH: Shakib Al Hasan shoved due to disorder after commercial event in Dubai
Bangladesh skipper Shakib Al Hasan is one of the best all-rounders in the world and has a lot of popularity around the globe. The popularity is one thing that gives cricketers some disadvantages as well. Recently, it was seen in a video that has gone viral on social media, the Kolkata franchise player was seen manhandling people who didn’t want to miss the chance to click a selfie with him. However, seeing the situation at the venue, the Bangladesh all-rounder decided to leave.
In the video, the 35-year-old is seen going from the venue, after an event in which he was surrounded by hundreds of fans. A few pushed him while others grabbed his clothes. Shakib nearly fell to the ground once, but he rose and continued to go forward in an effort to leave the area as quickly as possible. Shakib seemed to be guarded as he walked out of the event. Meanwhile, Shakib would be interrogated for attending the business event, according to Harun-or-Rashid, the Assistant Commissioner (detective) of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP). Arav Khan is accused of killing Mamun Emran Khan, an inspector with the Special Branch (SB) division of the police, four years ago.
“It is regrettable that even after being informed of this matter, Shakib attended the inaugural ceremony of the jewellery outlet. As a part of the investigation, Shakib Al Hasan might be quizzed,” Harun-or-Rashid was quoted as saying.
Another video of Shakib is seen hitting a supporter with his own cap which previously went viral. Most likely, the fan said something that irritated the Bangladeshi cricketer. Shakib seized the fan’s hat and began to beat him ruthlessly. To stop the situation from worsening, he was taken away with force.
If we talk about cricket, Bangladesh under the leadership of Shakib, clean-sweeped the T20 World champions England with a scoreline of 3-0. The left-hand batter from Bangladesh Najmul Hossain Shanto was awarded the Player of the Series award for his brilliant performance with the bat throughout the series.
