WATCH: West Indies spinner Kevin Sinclair’s celebration against Australia goes viral
Nobody has ever celebrated Usman Khwaja’s wicket the way Kevin Sinclair did. Sinclair dismissed Khwaja in the first innings of the second Test between Australia and West Indies at Gabba. However, his celebration style excited the crowd as well as the players and commentators present there. After the catch was taken by Alick Athanaze in the slip, the backflip done by Sinclair was a kind of celebration which is only seen in football. Thus, it left the cricket fans shocked.
Khwaja missed a well-deserved century as he gave away his wicket at 75 runs. His inning was important for Australia as it helped them set a base. Most of the Australian batters underperformed in the 1st innings and hence, from the game’s perspective, Khwaja’s innings saved Australia from getting a follow-on.

Apart from Khwaja, Alex Carey (65) and Pat Cummins (64) also played well to help Australia score 289 runs. At the end of day 2, West Indies are leading in the match by 35 runs. It was a combined effort from the three players to get past the crisis. However, the credit goes to the bowlers like Alzarri Joseph (4 wickets) and Kemar Roach (3 wickets) who didn’t allow the batters to even settle for a minute.
12 wickets fell in a day
The second day of the West Indies vs Australia day and night Test match witnessed a beautiful game of Cricket. On winning the toss, West Indies decided to bat first. As they lost some early wickets, Kavem Hodge (71) and Joshua Da Silva (79) helped the team put up a huge total of 311 on the board. As usual, Mitchell Starc led the Australian bowling attack and took four wickets in the first innings.
As Australia came to bat, their batters gave away early wickets but Khwaja, Cummins and Carey saved the game. But the interesting part of day 2 was the loss of wickets. It was an action-packed game as in one day 12 wickets fell. Moreover, since West Indies are already leading, it will be intriguing to see how the match proceeds.
