Sherfane Rutherford (22 runs in 18 balls), Tom Curran (21 runs in 23 balls), and Sam Billings (25 runs in 22 balls) also made brief appearances in the middle.
Adam Zampa, with his three-wicket haul, was the bowler of choice for the Capitals. In four overs, he only allowed 16 runs to be scored. As for the remaining wickets, Akif Raja took one in the match, while Jake Ball and Fred Klaassen each took two.
The team led by Rovman Powell struggled to get going in the chase as they kept losing wickets on a regular basis. Along with Pathan, Dasun Shanaka (24 runs in 23 balls) and Rovman Powell (34 runs in 26 balls) gave it their all to get their team over the finish line. Their efforts, however, were in vain because they were unable to lead the team through. They were eventually limited to 137-5 in 20 overs, giving the Vipers a 12-run victory. Despite losing, Adam Zampa was named Player of the Match for his outstanding performance with the ball.
