‘Ye bhahut risky move hai’ – Fans react as Indian Cricket Board officials travel to Pakistan to watch Asia Cup matches

With just four days left for the Asia Cup, all the teams are gearing up to win the title, which is all set to take place in Sri Lanka and Pakistan. Notably, the Rohit Sharma side will be playing all of their matches in Sri Lanka, as they refused to travel to Pakistan due to political tensions between these two countries. Notably, Team India will lock horns against Babar Azam’s side on September 2 in Kandy, Sri Lanka, to commence their journey.

Meanwhile, some reports suggested that Indian Cricket Board President Roger Binny and Vice President Rajiv Shukla would travel to Pakistan to watch a few games. In addition, the Pakistan Cricket Board has invited the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) President, Indian Cricket Board President, and Vice President to Pakistan during the Asia Cup. Moreover, it was earlier reported that PCB had invited Jay Shah to watch the opening game between Pakistan and Nepal, but he refused to travel to the neighboring country.

“BCCI president Binny and vice president Shukla will be going to Pakistan to watch few game. PCB had invited BCCI and as one of the key member of ACC, Binny and Shukla will be travelling to Pakistan,” an Indian Cricket Board official told The Indian Express.

Binny, Shukla and Jay Shah will be in Sri Lanka for India vs Pakistan clash: Reports

According to reports, Roger Binny, Jay Shah, and Rajiv Shukla will be in Sri Lanka to watch the clash between India and Pakistan. Notably, following the India vs. Pakistan clash, the Indian Cricket Board officials will travel to Lahore from Wagah Border. In addition, the officials will be staying in Pakistan from September 3 to 7.

“Binny, Shukla and secretary Jay Shah will be in Sri Lanka for the marquee India vs Pakistan clash in Pallekele (Kandy) on September 2. The trio will be back in India on September 3 after which president and vice-president will travel through Wagah border to Lahore,” a source privy to development told PTI on conditions of anonymity.
