‘Ye nazaara dekhe hue kitna time hogya tha’ – Fans react as Virat Kohli comes out to lead RCB against Punjab Kings in IPL 2023

One of the all-time great batters, Virat Kohli has a sizable fan base, thanks to his success with both Team India and Royal Challengers Bangalore. He has recorded runs in practically every nation he has played in, in all formats. He has played with several cricketers over his career and has formed excellent relationships with a number of the top players in the game.

Inside the Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali, Virat Kohli will take on the Punjab Kings in another game. They recently suffered a loss at the expense of Ambati Rayudu’s team, the Chennai Super Kings, and would like to turn things around.

How is Virat Kohli captaining the Royal Challengers Bangalore again?

In the game against PBKS on April 20, Virat Kohli will be leading the Royal Challengers Bangalore, once again. Prior to the 2022 season, Kohli relinquished his position as team captain, and Faf du Plessis was selected in an auction to fill it. The Indian batting maestro has since returned as the team’s captain, though, prior to the PBKS match. Du Plessis is going to be playing as an impact player because he is unable to tackle the pitch owing to his rib ailment, according to Kohli at the toss, that PBKS won.

The former Team India skipper has been hitting the ball well this season, as evidenced by the fact that he has reached a total of three fifties. On Thursday, PBKS won the toss, and Sam Curran elected to field first. On his comeback to captaincy, Kohli received a thunderous applause and explained why he was doing so.

Virat spoke to Murali Karthik during the toss about his return as captain. He said,

“Faf potentially can’t be fielding today, so he’ll be playing as an impact player, switching with Vyshak. We got to do what we wanted, we would have batted first, the pitch could get slow, some scuff marks will help the bowlers going deep into the game. Taking one game at a time, focusing on our own game, and making the most of crunch situations, we haven’t gone that far in the tournament. No other changes for us.”
