‘Itni dediction WTC final me bhi dikhani thi na’ – Fans react as Rohit Sharma jumps into water to save wife Ritika’s drowning phone

Indian skipper Rohit Sharma is currently enjoying a vacation with his wife Ritika Sajdeh and daughter Samaira after a hectic few months of cricket. It seems to be a much-needed break for the Indian skipper after a big loss World Test Championship final against Australia last week. The couple has been posting various photos and videos of their vacation on social media along with social media.

However, Ritika recently posted a funny video featuring Rohit and claimed that he jumped into the water to save her drowning phone. “My phone fell into the water and this guy jumped in to save it,” she wrote on her Insta story. Ritika’s story caught the attention of many fans and they started giving funny reactions on this hilarious incident.

Notably, Rohit has been facing outrage from the fans after India suffered a big defeat by 209 runs in the WTC final. He has been getting trolled for his team selection in the big final along with the head coach Rahul Dravid.

What is Rohit’s future as India’s Test captain?

However, according to the latest reports, Rohit Sharma may have a talk with the Indian Cricket Board about his future as the Test skipper after India’s loss in WTC final However, there is no imminent threat for as the skipper in their longest format but due to his poor form, he might need to rake up some significant numbers in the upcoming tour to West Indies, where India is scheduled to play two Tests, three ODIs, and five T20Is.

“These are baseless stuff that Rohit will be removed from captaincy. Yes, whether he will last the whole two-year WTC cycle is a big question as he would be nearly 38 when the third edition ends in 2025. As of now, I believe that Shiv Sunder Das and his colleagues will have to take a call after the two Tests and looking at his batting form,” a senior Indian Cricket Board source said as quoted in India Today.

“After West Indies, we have no Tests till December-end when the team travels to South Africa. So there is enough time for selectors to deliberate and take a decision. By then the fifth selector (new chairman) will also join the panel and a decision can be taken,” he further added.
