‘Agar sahi baat kare toh aaj cricket jeeti hai….’ – Abdul Razzaq’s controversial remarks on India’s loss against Australia in ODI World Cup 2023 final
Team India suffered a shocking six-wicket loss over Australia in the ODI World Cup 2023 final on November 19 at the iconic Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad. Notably, Rohit Sharma and Co. have failed to use their tactics and pitch conditions, which easily helped Australia win the game. In addition, Pat Cummins and Co. completely destroyed the hosts in the final game.
However, following the loss, former Pakistan’s cricketer takes a dig at the home team. The great cricketer affirms that the game is won by cricket, as one can’t win by using the pitch conditions in the game. In addition, the former all-rounder took a swipe at India, saying the ones who works hard and performs well becomes the winner.
“Agar sahi baat kare toh aaj cricket jeeti hai. Aap conditions ko apni taraf utilise karke, ye kabhi bhi nahi aisa hota. Agar aaj India jeet jaati toh fir cricket jo hai naa vo India ki taraf ho jaati. Cricket ne bataya ki mai vo cricket hu jo brave hote hai, jo strong hote hai mentally, effort krte hai, jaan maarte hai, mai unke saath hu,” Abdul Razzaq said on Pakistani TV show ‘Hasna Mana Hai’.
Agar India jeet jaati na to hume bahut jyada afsos hota: Abdul Razzaq
The 43-year-old cricketer, Abdul Razzaq, admitted that they would feel bad if India had won the ODI World Cup 2023 title by using pitch conditions. Moreover, the middle-order batter feels if India’s batting master Virat Kohli would have hammered a century, then the game would have been won by the Men in Blue.
“Khushi iss cheej ki hai aaj ki agar India jeet jaati na to hume bahut jyada afsos hota iss sense mei ki vo conditions ko utilise kar rahi thi. Kuch na kuch toh hai conditions mei. Bilkul fair pitches honi chahiye, bilkul fair atmosphere hona chahiye, ki dono teams ke liye balance hona chahiye. Aaj bhi India ne advantage liya, agar Kohli 100 kar jaate toh India ye World Cup jeet jaati,” he added further.
Meanwhile, the Men in Blue will be in action on November 23 against Australia for the T20I series.
