Reports: Man files FIR against Australia’s all-rounder Mitchell Marsh for placing feet on ODI World Cup 2023 trophy
There has been criticism concerning Australia’s all-rounder Mitchell Marsh’s behaviour in keeping his legs on the ODI World Cup 2023 trophy. Notably, the Men in Yellow had won the ODI World Cup 2023 final against the hosts on November 19, and following that, an image of Marsh keeping his legs on the trophy went viral on social media. The Indian cricket fans had expressed displeasure for this act and lamented the scathing attack on an Australian cricketer.
Notably, the Australian star cricketer has been under attack for his behaviour from those who view the Trophy as a respectable and valuable icon. However, the trophy is merely a piece of metal given to the winners in recognition of their accomplishments, who see this as a simple trophy.
However, following the loss, the Indian players and fans were crushed. The fact that India dominated the competition right up until the final game but lost the one match that would have awarded them the title of the best team. However, the fans had trolled Marsh on social media and demanded an apology from him for the act.
