In the third ODI against Bangladesh, Indian left-hand batter Ishan Kishan became the fourth Indian to score a double hundred after Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, and Rohit Sharma. Ishan Kishan played like a T20I game as he smashed 210 runs from 131 balls with 24 fours and 10 massive sixes at a strike rate of 160.31. 

Playing his only tenth ODI, break a number of records in this innings. The 24-year-old became the youngest and the fastest batter to reach a double hundred in the 50-overs format. The Patna-born youngster registered the highest individual score against the Bangla Tigers, surpassing Virender Sehwag’s knock of 175 in the opening match of the 2011 World Cup in Mirpur.

126 balls – Ishan Kishan scored the fastest double-century and surpassed the previous record of Chris Gayle who scored 138 balls against Zimbabwe in 2015.

24y 145d – Ishan became the youngest player to score a double ton and surpassed Rohit Sharma who did it at 26y 186d against Australia in Bangalore in 2013. 

4 – Kishan became the fourth Indian to score a double hundred after Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, and Rohit Sharma.

7 – The Mumbai franchise cricketer became the seventh batter overall to hit a double century in the ODI format after Tendulkar, Rohit, Sehwag, Chris Gayle, Fakhar Zaman, and Martin Guptill.

3 – The Jharkhand skipper scored the third-highest individual score of 210 for India in the format after Rohit’s 264 against Sri Lanka and Sehwag’s 219 against West Indies. 

2 – The left-hand opener became the highest individual score against the Bangla Tigers, surpassing Virender Sehwag’s knock of 175 in the opening match of the 2011 World Cup in Mirpur. 

10 – The wicketkeeper batter has slammed 10 sixes in an innings and he surpassed the previous best of 7 sixes which was smashed by Indian captain Sourav Ganguly.

210 – The Patna-born player scripted the highest score of 210 in ODIs played in Bangladesh. He surpassed Shane Watson’s destructive innings of 185* in Mirpur in the year 2011.

1 – The 24-year-old broke another record of the best individual score (210) against the Bangla Tigers. Previously, Zimbabwe’s Charles Coventry had hammered 194* in Bulawayo in the year 2009.

210 – Ishan achieved the best score (210) by an Indian opener in away/neutral ODIs. He went past Sourav Ganguly’s knock of 183 against Sri Lanka in Taunton in the 1999 WC.

10 – Kishan also smacked the most sixes (10) by an Indian in an away/neutral ODI. He went past Yusuf Pathan, who smashed eight maximums against South Africa in Centurion in 2011.
