‘Kaunse nashe karta hai’- Abdul Razzaq’s bold choice between Jasprit Bumrah and Shaheen Afridi draws criticism from Twitter
Shaheen Shah Afridi and Jasprit Bumrah, two of the best pace bowlers in the world right now, will hopefully return to competitive cricket shortly after being out for a while. Both India and Pakistan are hoping that their respective contenders will become fully healthy as soon as possible. Afridi has struggled with knee problems, while Bumrah has been sidelined due to a back injury.
Due to Afridi’s knee issues, Pakistan ended as the runners-up at the Asia Cup 2022. He did, however, make a comeback for the 20-20 World Cup in Australia, when Pakistan again took second place. Afridi suffered a further injury to his already ailing knee while playing in the event’s finals, worsening it and making him miss the remainder of the season.
Bumrah is a baby bowler in front of me and I could have easily dominated and attacked him: Abdul Razzaq
India undoubtedly missed Bumrah’s services during the Asia Cup because of his back problems. The Indian pacer was then hurried in by the management as the 20-20 World Cup approached, but the plan backfired. Bumrah spent the period recovering at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru after being deemed unfit for the 20-20 World Cup.
Abdul Razzaq, a former Pakistan all-rounder and current member of the Pakistan selection committee, made an awful comparison between the two pacers and attacked the Indian. “Shaheen Afridi is way better than Jasprit Bumrah. Bumrah is nowhere close to Shaheen’s level,” on the margins of an event, the former cricketer spoke with a local news outlet.
The former Pakistan all-rounder has previously asserted such things about Bumrah. Earlier this year, Razzaq referred to Bumrah as a “baby bowler” and asserted that if he had still been active, he would have dominated the Indian pacer.
“I have played against great bowlers like Glenn Mcgrath and Wasim Akram, so Bumrah is a baby bowler in front of me and I could have easily dominated and attacked him,” Razzaq had then said to Cricket Pakistan.
Returning to Afridi and Bumrah, the pace bowler from Pakistan has been spotted practising in the nets and is anticipated to return during the forthcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL), which begins on February 13.
Adversely, Bumrah has not been put at risk by the Indian Cricket Board and will not play in the opening two Tests of the eagerly awaited Border-Gavaskar Trophy, which begins on February 9 in Nagpur.
Here’s how fans trolled Abdul Razzaq on his bold choice:

I am a Pakistani but i think its totally wrong to compare shaheen and bumra. Bumra has more experience and he has also performed in every condition but shaheen is yet to perform.
.But with the new ball shaheen has the upper hand..but in the death overs bumra is the boss.— Dιʅʂԋαɳ (@Alee45635) January 31, 2023
Bumrah to bahut upar hai isiliye neeche nahi dikh raha.

I agree with Abdul Razzaq. Sofa is always better. You can sit, sleep, you can do whatever you want on it.
