Venkatesh Prasad brutally shuts down Javed Miandad over ‘India can go to hell’ comments
Former India cricketer Venkatesh Prasad gave an epic reply to Pakistan’s Javed Miandad for his ‘go to hell’ remark on the Asia Cup row. Miandad criticised the Indian Cricket Board for their decision not to tour Pakistan for the 2023 Asia Cup. The former Pakistan captain made the remark as Indian management refused to have Pakistan as the venue for the continental tournament.
“India can go to hell if they don’t want to come to Pakistan to play cricket. We don’t care because we are getting to host our cricket. This is ICC’s job. If ICC can’t control this there’s no use of the governing body. They need to implement similar rules for every team. If teams like these don’t come, they should be debarred,” Miandad said earlier in a public event as quoted by Hindustan Times.
In reply to Miandad’s comment Prasad took to Twitter and replied, “But they are refusing to go to hell :).”

Veteran Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin also reacted to the Pakistan cricketer’s comment on his Youtube Channel, “But we would have seen this happen many times, right? When we say the Asia Cup won’t go to their place, they will say that they will also not come to our place.”
The Indian Cricket Board said that India can’t participate in the 2023 Asia Cup as the government has not given permission for the team to travel to the hosting nation. However, after conducting a meeting in Bahrain on Saturday, February 4, the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) have not finalised the venue for the Asian Cup which is scheduled to be held in September 2023. According to a report in Hindustan Times, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) now wants the Cricket Governing Body to lift the 2023 ODI World Cup hosting rights from India. The final decision on this issue is likely to be taken in March when the chiefs of the Indian Cricket Board and PCB will meet for an ICC and ACC meeting.
