MS Dhoni seen in Ahmedabad for lab launch event ahead of Indian T20 League 2023
Former India skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, also known as the ‘Captain Cool’, is one of the most iconic names in Indian cricket. He is known for his cool and composed demeanour during nervous situations in the match. Dhoni is also the only captain in the history of cricket so far to win all three world major tournaments.
Dhoni first lifted the 20-20 World Cup title in 2007, then the 50-over World Cup title in 2011, and lastly, the Champions Trophy in 2013. He has also won four titles with the Chennai franchise in the Indian T20 League in 2009, 2010, 2018 and in 2021.
Ahead of the 2023 edition of the Indian T20 League, Dhoni was seen at a launch event in Ahmedabad, as per reports. The pictures of the event have gone viral on social media. MS Dhoni was seen wearing a black T-shirt and he was surrounded by his fans, mostly in lab coats pointing towards him.

Indian T20 League 2023 could be last one for MS Dhoni
The 41-year-old retired from all forms of international cricket in 2020 and is currently taking part only in the Indian T20 League. He has scored 4,978 runs in 234 matches he has played so far from 2008 in the league. In the T20Is, Dhoni scored 1,617 runs in 85 matches at a strike rate of 126.13 and established himself as one of the greatest wicketkeeper-batters for India.
In the previous season, his team, the Chennai franchise finished 9th in the Indian T20 League, just above five times champions, the Mumbai franchise, who finished at the bottom. The Chennai fans are eagerly waiting for him to take the field as this edition is set to return back to MA Chidambaram Stadium for their home games.
With just a few days left for the Indian T20 League 2023, the Chennai franchise skipper was seen practising in the nets. The addition of England Test captain Ben Stokes, along with the return of star India allrounder Ravindra Jadeja from an injury will make the Chennai franchise a favourable contender to lift the title this time around. Considering Dhoni’s age, this could be the last time he might don the yellow jersey.
