The young opening batter for the Indian cricket team, Shubman Gill, is one of the most anticipated players in Indian cricket right now. He is in the form of life as far as international cricket is concerned. Shubman Gill gained notoriety for his outstanding batting performance at the 2018 U19 Cricket World Cup, when he led the competition in runs scored and helped Team India to victory.

At the IPL Auction, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) selected Gill. Prior to joining Gujarat Titans immediately before the IPL 2022 Super Auction, he enjoyed a few successful seasons with the franchise. He was crucial in helping the squad win the IPL Trophy in just their first season. If Gujarat wants to keep its championship, it must continue to do the same in IPL 2023 as well.

Gujarat Titans have won both of their opening two games in the competition, which is a strong start. Next up is Gill’s old squad, the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). The match will be played at Ahmedabad’s iconic Narendra Modi Stadium on Sunday, April 9.

Shubman Gill – Highest run-scorer for India in T20Is

Shubman Gill picked his ideal beginning partnership soon before the matchup with his previous team. Naturally, the opener chose Sachin Tendulkar and Rohit Sharma as his ideal opening duo.

The 23-year-old has achieved his career-best position among the ODI batters in the recently released ranking by the Apex cricket council. The 23-year-old has moved to the fourth position, while Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are other Indian batters who are in the top 10.

Recently, the Gujarat franchise opener scored his maiden double-hundred of his international career and became tne youngest to do so. He is the fifth Indian to score a double hundred in One-Day Internationals after Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Rohit and Ishan Kishan. He completed his century in the T20I series against New Zealand on February 1 where he scored 126 runs off 63 balls which included 10 fours and five sixes. He is the highest run-scorer for Men in Bluei in the shortest format of the game.
