‘Lagta hai bhai ke hath ki sari lakir mitne wali hai’ – Fans react as RCB supporter puts out viral post of staying single until they win IPL

The 16th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has started and is going in full flow. Currently, Rajasthan Royals (RR) are sitting at the top of the points table with six points in four matches, and, on the other hand, Delhi Capitals (DC) are at the bottom with four losses in the four encounters they have played in the 2023 edition of the cash-rich league.

At the moment, the Punjab Kings (PBKS) skipper, Shikhar Dhawan is leading the Orange Cap race with 225 runs in three matches, whereas India’s veteran leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal is leading in the Purple Cap race with 10 wickets in the four games he has played so far.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), a team that has played in the Indian Premier League League for 15 seasons, has the most devoted fan group. Because of players like Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, Faf du Plessis, and Chris Gayle, the team has drawn large crowds to the M Chinnaswamy Stadium whenever and wherever they have competed over the past three years.

I think Bangalore, one day, will win this IPL: Michael Vaughan

Even though Kohli, who led the team for nine years as skipper, didn’t win the trophy, the bond between him and the franchise has endured. Kohli has amassed the most runs in Indian T20 League history and is the only player to play exclusively for one franchise throughout the league’s first 16 seasons, starting in 2008.

After a brilliant performance against the five-time champions, Mumbai Indians, former England skipper, Michael Vaughan backed Bangalore to win the IPL 2023. According to Vaughan, Bangalore has the experience to clinch the title and they are surely going to finish in the top four.

“I think Bangalore, one day, will win this IPL. They will do it, and they have got enough in the tank in terms of experience. I think Reece Topley is going to be a big miss. That looks like a bad injury with that shoulder. Virat Kohli in full flow is the best player in the world to watch,” the 48-year-old was quoted as saying while speaking to the broadcaster.

“But they’ve certainly got the experience and the players. But as we know from history, that doesn’t take you to win a trophy, but surely now they’re back at home, and that ground is such a great ground for them, and they know how to play there. I’m sure they’re going to get to that top four, and then who knows what will happen at the end,” the right-hand batter added.
