‘Ye news player ke alawa sab ke liye achi hai’ – Fans react to Washington Sundar being ruled out of the 2023 IPL

Sunrisers Hyderabad’s key Indian all-rounder Washington Sundar has been forced out of the remaining Indian Premier League matches this season owing to hamstring damage, the team announced on Thursday.

SRH announced his exclusion on Twitter. Washington Sundar’s hamstring issue has forced him to withdraw from the IPL in 2023. “Happy healing, Washi,” the tweet said. The Sunrisers, who are down at the bottom of the standings with just two victories in their past five games, have been dealt a devastating blow by Sundar’s withdrawal. With four points right now, SRH will be taking on fellow struggling team Delhi Capitals this Saturday.

In spite of being on the losing side, the all-rounder enjoyed a strong performance against Delhi Capitals in which he delivered three wickets and struck an unbeaten 24 from 15 balls. The athlete has a hamstring issue and will have scans done to see exactly how long this will be before he can play again. The all-rounder will, however, be absent for the remainder of the current season, according to Sunrisers.

The 23-year-old broke the back of DC’s batting by taking three wickets during the second over of his spell. Warner was the first coveted victim of Sundar, who slog-swept a delivery travelling down leg straight into Harry Brook at deep backward square leg on the second ball. On the fourth delivery, Sarfaraz Khan became Sundar’s second victim as he top-edged a ball straight to Bhuvneshwar Kumar through the deep-backwards square leg.

The final delivery of the oversaw Khan attempted to score big on the leg side once more, but instead, he received a leading edge that went directly to Abhishek Sharma at cover. This gave Sundar the last laugh. Aman Hakim Khan arrived at the crease when DC lost the fourth wicket and hit a boundary with the first ball he faced to start the innings off in style.

He has scored 60 runs at a 15 average and a 100-strike rate with the bat was just adequate. The Tamil Nadu player also experienced damage during the previous IPL season when the webbing inside his bowling hand split.
