After almost two months of continuous cricket, Indian Premier League 2023 is set to get a champion on Sunday. Gujarat Titans will face Chennai Super Kings one last time this year to save their title, while CSK would look to clinch their fifth title. However, just hours before the game, fans and cricket pundits have started making predictions for the potential winner.

Meanwhile, ace commentator Aakash Chopra also came up with his analysis and said that he will support Chennai Super Kings in the finals. Notably, this year, Chopra’s predictions have gone wrong and fans are now split on social media since he is backing MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings in the finals. However, Chopra also said that Shubman Gill can change the game for the defending champions.

Speaking about him and how will CSK tackle him, Chopra felt that Deepak Chahar is the sole threat to Gill. “This guy (Gill) is batting differently. He is not the crowned prince, he has already become the king. Can he break Kohli’s 900-plus season record? He will have to again score 122 runs for that. He has struck three centuries in his last four innings,” Chopra said on his youtube channel.

“The only problem that he has is the law of averages. Other than that, no one can stop this guy. If he can manage the new ball at the start, which he can do, Deepak Chahar is the only threat, but if he manages him, this player will hit again. He is an extremely mighty player,” Chopra added.

Sachin Tendulkar also made an analysis ahead of the finals

Ahead of the final game, Ace India batter Sachin Tendulkar also praised Shubman Gill and made his predictions for the final game. Tendulkar, in his Twitter post, said, “Shubman Gill’s performance this season has been nothing short of unforgettable, marked by two centuries that left an indelible impact. What truly impressed me about Shubman’s batting was his remarkable temperament, unwavering calmness, hunger for runs and astute running between the wickets.”

Further speaking about the final game of the season, Tendulkar said that Gill along with David Miller and Hardik Pandya will be crucial wickets for CSK. “Gujarat is a formidable side and the wickets of @ShubmanGill, @hardikpandya7 & @DavidMillerSA12 will be key for Chennai tonight. @ChennaiIPL also bat deep with @msdhoni coming in as low as number 8, hence it could be a case of one team out-batting the other. It’s going to be an interesting Final to watch,” Tendulkar added.
