‘I am seeing only one change….’ – Aakash Chopra opens up on India’s likely change in 2nd ODI vs South Africa

Team India is all set to lock horns against South Africa for the second T20I game which is slated to take place on December 19. Notably, the Men in Blue are already 1-0, and they will be looking forward to get the win in the second ODI to win the ODI series after the T20I series against the Proteas was equaled by 1-1. However, Aakash Chopra has opened up about India’s likely changes in the upcoming ODI.

The well-renowned cricket commentator feels star batter Rinku Singh will come in second ODI in the middle order over Shreyas Iyer. Notably, Iyer was included in the first ODI as he set to prepare for the longest form of the game. In addition, the former India opener feels that there will be no changes in the bowling line-up and the team will play with their full-strength squads.

“Shreyas Iyer is not available for this match. So I am seeing only one change in the Indian team. It is a very simple change. Rinku will come in. So, Rinku, Sanju (Samson), KL (Rahul), Sai Sudharsan, Ruturaj Gaikwad – a batting lineup like this will be seen. I am not expecting any change in the bowling lineup. An almost identical team will play, with just one change,” Aakash Chopra said on his YouTube channel.

South Africa still need to win the series: Aakash Chopra

Aakash Chopra took a dig at South Africa by saying to play a little bit properly to win the second ODI against India to equalize the series by 1-1. Moreover, the cricketer-tuned analyst wants South Africa to win the game to make the third ODI more thrilling and exciting.

“South Africa – play a little properly, bring the series on par at 1-1, so that the final match does not become a dead rubber. All matches seem like dead rubbers but they aren’t. You still need to win the series. The last series finished at 1-1. Here you can make it 1-1 and go to the last match, so that we can also discuss a little, or else I am not enjoying covering this ODI series. I am being very, very honest,” he added further.
