‘Ishan Kishan and Tilak Varma might not…….’ – Aakash Chopra opens up on India’s possible changes in 4th T20I vs Australia

Team India is all set to lock horns against Australia for the fourth T20I game, slated to take place on December 1 in Raipur. Notably, the hosts will be looking forward to win in the upcoming clash. However, Australia has also bounced back in the third T20I, which is a big threat for India.

However, former India cricketer Aakash Chopra has talked about the possible changes that India can make in the next clash. The well-renowned cricket commentator feels Prasidh Krishna won’t be getting the chance in the squad as he was too expensive in the third T20I, which would single-handedly makes them lose the match after conceding 68 runs in just 4 overs. The former India opener feels Mukesh Kumar and Deepak Chahar will be in the starting lineup over him.

“There is scope for changes in the Indian team. A little birdie told me that two or three changes might happen. One is simple – Prasidh Krishna might not play this match, either Mukesh Kumar or Deepak Chahar might play in his place. Mukesh Kumar has come back. He was bowling in the nets,” Aakash Chopra said on his YouTube channel.

The cricketer-tuned analyst feels Ishan Kishan and Tilak Varma will also not be playing in the squad. Moreover, the 46-year-old cricketer feels Shreyas Iyer and Jitesh Sharma will replace them in the next game.

“Shreyas Iyer has come back and he will play. I have heard both Ishan Kishan and Tilak Varma might not play. I cannot confirm or verify that, I have heard rumors. If they don’t play, you might see both Jitesh Sharma and Shreyas Iyer playing. Shreyas could be batting at No. 3, Suryakumar Yadav at No. 4, then Rinku Singh and Jitesh Sharma. You might see a change in the batting order like this because you don’t want to keep Ishan at No. 6 and don’t want to play Shreyas below No. 3,” he added further.
