Aakash Chopra hails Yashasvi Jaiswal’s heroics, places him above Cricket legend Sir Don Bradman

Former India cricketer Aakash Chopra heaps praise on star batter Yashasvi Jaiswal after his magnificent batting performance in the second Test match against England in Vizag. Notably, the star cricketer hammered 209 runs from 290 balls, featuring 19 boundaries and seven sixes, to help India post a great total of 396 runs before getting all out.

However, the well-renowned cricket commentator feels Yashasvi Jaiswal’s performance was fantastic in the second Test match. Aakash Chopra further elaborates on how Yashasvi Jaiswal played against legendary cricketer James Anderson and how that makes him a very special player for Team India. The former India opener has kept him above batting legend Don Bradman at this point.

“The most fantastic performance came from left-handed batter Yashasvi Jaiswal’s bat. How well the kid batted. Jimmy Anderson was the only pacer and he kept leaving his deliveries. He gave a lot of respect to James Anderson’s bowling. When spin came, he hit two fours in the first over. After that, he showed why this player is so special. His conversion rate of fifties into hundreds for players who have 10 or more centuries in first-class cricket, he is even above Sir Don Bradman at this point in time,” Aakash Chopra said on his YouTube channel.

Yashasvi Jaiswal on one side and the rest of the Indian team on the other: Aakash Chopra

Aakash Chopra feels the left-handed batter is just like his name, owing to his stellar performances. Moreover, the 46-year-old cricketer talks about how Yashasvi Jaiswal was standing alone, and Team India’s other highest run was a 34 by Shubman Gill. Furthermore, the former right-handed batter talks about a few shots played by Yashasvi Jaiswal.

“Yashasvi is living up to his name. He shows every time that he is stellar. He is standing alone on 179 because the second-highest is not even 40. So Yashasvi Jaiswal is on one side and the rest of the Indian team on the other. He didn’t have any hesitation to hit in the air and reached his century with a six,” he added further.
