The 16th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has started and is going in full flow. Currently, Rajasthan Royals (RR) are sitting at the top of the points table with six points in four matches and on the other hand, Delhi Capitals (DC) are at the bottom with four losses in the four encounters they have played in the 2023 edition of the cash-rich league.

On Sunday, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) defeated Gujarat Titans (GT), then on Monday Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) by one wicket. On Tuesday, Mumbai Indians (MI) defeated Delhi Capitals by six wickets and in the last on Wednesday, RR defeated CSK by three runs.

Mumbai Indians register their first victory of IPL 2023

In the GT Vs KKR fixture, Rinku Singh took the game close as the team needed 29 runs in six balls. He hit five sixes off the last five balls to take his side to a win from almost a losing position. Kolkata won their second straight game of the tournament and what a win this was. Yash Dayal, who gave away 31 runs in the last over, spoke with Rinku in a less well-known conversation before KKR’s away game against GT in Ahmedabad.

In the RCB Vs LSG encounter, Australian all-rounder Marcus Stoinis who finally displayed his worth with a sensational 65 off just 30 balls with 6 fours and 5 sixes. Then, Nicholas Pooran scored the fastest half-century of the IPL 2023 and got the game right into the reach of LSG. In the end, despite losing nine wickets, the Blue Brigade won by one wicket.

In the DC Vs MI game, on the last ball of the match, Mumbai Indians scraped two runs off the last ball of the match to hand Delhi Capitals their fourth loss of the season and MI got their first win of the competition.

In the CSK Vs RR match, Chennai needed 21 runs in the last over, and on the last ball of the match Chennai needed five runs from one ball with MS Dhoni on strike, but the home side went on to loose the match by three runs.
