‘After 21 years Thalaivar invited me’, Star India batter Sanju Samson shares fanboy moment with superstar Rajinikanth

Ahead of the ODI series against Australia, star India wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson had a fan moment while meeting Superstar Rajinikanth. Samson who is +struggling to make it into the national team has been invited by the South superstar to his home. While uploading the pictures of his meeting Samason revealed his Childhood dream.

On Sunday, Posting his pictures with the legendary actor on social media Samson wrote, “At the age of 7 already being a Super Rajni fan, I told my parents ..See one day I will go and meet Rajni sir in his house. After 21 years, that day has come when The Thalaivar invited me…”

Notably, Rajinikanth is regarded as one of the biggest superstars in the history of Indian cinema. He has a massive following across South India and has been a big fan of cricket.

When will Sanju Samson play for India?

Samson, who has been in tremendous form during the home season in previous years, has failed to make it into the national team. He has been inconsistent in the team, which raised questions about his consideration.

Notably, he played his last international game against Sri Lanka in January this year. However, speaking on the same, former India batter Aakash Chopra believes that there is no place in the team. He also stated that Samson is unlikely to play because India already has multiple keepers.

Chopra, in an interview with YouTuber Ranveer Allahabadia, said, “Sanju has a cult following. When he plays well, he makes batting look easy. He is pleasing to the eyes and took his team to the Ranji final, and IPL final. Got some opportunities for India but didn’t make the most of them.”

“There is just no place in the XI. Ishan Kishan scored a double-century and yet was benched for the next few matches. When he did, he was asked to bat at No. 5. There isn’t a place. And it’s not because KL Rahul wasn’t available. Had he been available, he would have still sat out”, he further adds.
