Apex board releases official schedule and group division for T20 WC 2024

The Apex board has released the official schedule and group division for the T20 WC 2024. The big tournament will be hosted jointly by the WI and the USA. For the first time in the history of the sport, a tournament as big as the T20 WC 2024 would be happening. For the first time in cricket, a tournament will feature 20 or more teams at the same time.

The 20 teams in the tournament are divided into 4 groups of 5 teams each. India is grouped alongside Pakistan in the big T20 tournament. along with the likes of Canada, Ireland, and the USA. In Group B, there are long-time rivalries like England and Australia grouped along with each other. Along with them, the teams like Namibia, Scotland, and Oman are in the same group.

In Group C, there are two heavyweights in New Zealand and West Indies. Along with them, there is a strong challenge from Afghanistan. To cap off the group along with them are Uganda and Papua New Guinea. In Group D, there is a giant side like South Africa who are grouped alongside other teams like Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Netherlands, and Nepal.

India vs Pakistan at New York

India and Pakistan are in the same group and are likely to play in the biggest match of the tournament. The match will take place at New York where a record crowd is set to view the match, the highest for an event in the continent of North America. The date for the match will be the 9th of June. All the attention is on the big match and the fans cannot wait to catch it live.

Apart from it, some of the other big games for the tournament would be England vs Australia, India vs Australia, India vs England, India vs New Zealand, South Africa vs Australia, and so on. India is set to play all of their group stage matches at the USA. Their further matches in the tournament are set to be in the West Indies.
