Star India batter and skipper Rohit Sharma is set to launch his own cricket academy in the United States of America. India’s captain is going to open his academy in Florida, US. The Cricketingdom Cricket Academy by Rohit Sharma is set to contribute to the growth of Cricket in the Americas.

A close associate of the project, Chetan Suryavanshi, shared pictures of preparations for the opening ceremony. He can be seen with Rohit in the pictures posted on Instagram. Notably, the USA will be the fourth country for Rohit’s academy, as it is well established in India, Singapore, and Japan.

It’s worth noting that Rohit’s academy promises to follow a school-like cricket curriculum. These curriculums are endorsed by Rohit Sharma and shared by the Indian Cricket Board, Cricket Australia, the England and Wales Cricket Board, and Cricket South Africa. Notably, It has both online and offline courses for coaches, players, and other officials related to the sport.

Rohit Sharma is set to lead India in the Asia Cup

Apart from personal programmes, Rohit Sharma must be eyeing to lead India in the upcoming Asia Cup 2023 and ODI World Cup. It’s worth noting that India will face Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2023 on September 2 to kick off their campaign. They will also face Nepal in Group games.

However, in September, the team will also face Australia in a three-match ODI series before starting their preparations for the One Day World Cup. India will start their campaign against Australia at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on October 8. The team will face Afghanistan and Pakistan in two games on October 11th and 14th. Rohit will be eyeing back-to-back trophies for India. Notably, India lost the World Test Championship 2023 against Australia by 200 runs in June this year.
