‘Bhaisaab ye kuch jada nahi hoya’ – Harbhajan Singh makes bold remark against Australian team after two-Test loss against India

India crushed Australia in the first two Tests of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy, winning the Nagpur Test by an innings and 132 runs and the Delhi Test by 6 wickets. The visitors were completely struggling on the Indian spin pitches, resulting in both five-day Test matches ending in just three days. The twin wins helped India retain their BGT and almost secure a place in the Test Championship final. Pat Cummins and Co are currently recovering from their humiliating defeat but facing a lot of criticism from their fans and cricket greats.

Following their defeat in the second Test, Indian spin legend Harbhajan Singh said he has no doubts about India winning a 10-match series against the current Australian team. “I have absolutely no doubt that India will win 4-0, even if it was a 10-match series, India would have won 10-0 because Australia doesn’t have any firepower,” he said.

The current Australian team is a ‘duplicate’: Harbhajan

The former Indian cricketer also lashed out at the present Aussie side for their pre-match talks around practice matches and the pitches in India. Harbhajan said that the current Australian team is a duplicate and their mind is focused only on negative things.

“Australia practised against Ravichandran Ashwin’s duplicate, but I feel the Australian team itself is a duplicate one. Their mindset is such that they are only focusing on negative things. They created so much confusion that they lost the game even before the first ball was bowled. It doesn’t seem like they have done any preparation for this tour. Looking at their performance, I think the only thing they practised was getting out,” said the veteran spinner.

However, the Kangaroos will look to bounce back in the upcoming Test matches with the third Test starting on March 1 at the Holkar Stadium in Indore. Currently leading the series 2-0, India will look to add one more win and lock their place at the WTC final, which is set to take place at London’s Oval in June.

Meanwhile, let’s have a look at how fans responded to Harbhajan’s confidence in India winning a 10-match series against Australia.
