WATCH: Fan of Virat Kohli invades pitch to meet Rohit Sharma during 1st IND vs ENG Test

On January 25, the test series between India and England started in Hyderabad. While the match was about to begin, Rohit Sharma’s fan came inside the field to meet his favourite. He came and touched Rohit’s feet as a sign of respect. Although Rohit felt a little uneasy throughout the entire incident, he handled it quite skillfully. He also instructed the security staff to handle the issue appropriately and with courtesy as they came in to take the fan. The fan’s jersey was the incident’s most intriguing element.

The fan had donned Virat Kohli’s jersey while he lived the most memorable moment of his life. Moreover, everyone remembers the YouTuber Jarvo69, who disrupted the 2023 World Cup match between Australia and India. It was India’s opening World Cup match, and it took place in Chennai. Jarvo69 had already broken into the pitch several times and been taken into custody by the authorities.

There have previously been fan incursions into the pitch. The same thing has already happened to several other players, including Virat Kohli and Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Virat Kohli went through a similar event a few days ago. A fan entered the pitch and hugged Kohli during the second Twenty20 International against Afghanistan.

India ended the day 1 at 119-1

India had a good start to the test series against England as they ended the day 1 on 119-1. They had a strong start thanks to Yashasvi Jaiswal and Captain Rohit Sharma. When Jaiswal opened his innings with a boundary, England was taken aback by his brave batting. He scored an incredible 76 runs off of 70 balls to round off the day. More than England, Jaiswal appeared to be playing authentic Bazball cricket. Moreover, Jaiswal and Shubman Gill were batting at the end of the first day.

England did an excellent job at keeping more spin than pace alternatives in the team. On the first day, though, the spinners were unable to provide them with the expected outcomes. The pitch will begin to turn more as the game goes on. The visitors will be hoping to have a good game in the upcoming days.
