‘India might suffer a loss similar to World Cup final’ – Former India cricketer’s bombshell prediction ahead of 2nd Test vs England

Former India cricketer Harbhajan Singh comes up with a bold prediction for the hosts ahead of their second Test match against England. Notably, Rohit Sharma and Co. suffered a heartbreaking and crushing defeat against the Ben Stokes-led English side despite taking the lead in the first innings of the first Test match.

However, former India spinner Harbhajan Singh comes up with his views for Team India ahead of the second Test game. The 43-year-old cricketer feels the hosts are in a difficult situation after KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja got injured in the first Test game. In addition, the renowned cricket commentator also talks about Virat Kohli’s unavailability in the game, with Shubman Gill and Shreyas Iyer carrying miserable form.

“The Board announced the team and shockingly both Ravindra Jadeja and KL Rahul are not part of it. Both in-form cricketers are injured. We don’t know about their return as well. Virat Kohli isn’t there as well. His presence would have bolstered the Indian batting lineup. Shubman is out of form. Shreyas hasn’t been among the runs. Both are class cricketers but haven’t scored runs so far,” Harbhajan said on his YouTube channel.

India might suffer a loss similar to the one in World Cup final: Harbhajan Singh

The cricketer-turned-analyst feels that the Men in Blue should not fall into their own trap, like preparing turning pitches for England. In addition, Harbhajan Singh feels India might suffer a similar loss as the ODI World Cup 2023 final against Australia if they aim to prepare turning pitches to help Team India for the Test series.

“India should be careful that they don’t fall into their own trap by preparing a turning track for the visitors. I worry that India might suffer a loss similar to the one in the World Cup final if they prepare a turning pitch against England. The batting lineup is young and requires time to develop. However, if they play on a good track, they might show promising performances,” he added further.
