Former Chennai franchise Kedar Jadhav’s father Mahadev Sopan Jadhav went missing on Monday morning from Pune’s Kothrud area. According to reports, a police complaint was lodged at the Alankar Police station. The Pune police started searching for his father. According to the missing report, Kedhar Jadhav is living in the Kothrud area in Pune city with his family.

According to the family members, Mahadev left the home on Monday morning without informing anyone and did not come back. According to India Express, the family was not able to trace him as well. In the complaint, the right-hand batter asserted that his father is suffering from Dementia.

He has been reunited with his family: Police official

“My father Mahadev Jadhav (75) has gone missing since morning 11.45 from our residence. I stay at Kothrud near City Pride theatre along with my father and mother Mandakini (65). He made a few rounds in our parking lot and then suddenly went out of the gate. We tried to locate him, but could not find him so I am giving this missing person’s complaint,” Kedar was quoted as saying to the police.

“My father is wearing a white shirt and grey pants and wearing black chappals. He is fair in colour, wearing spectacles and has a mark on his cheek owing to surgery. He is not carrying any money or a mobile with him. He speaks Marathi but could not speak continuously,” the 38-year-old stated.

Kedar’s father was found in Mundhwa area, the official said. “His condition is fine and he has been reunited with his family,” Senior Inspector Ajit Lakde of Mundhwa police station said.

Kedar Jadhav played his first ODI for Men in Blue on November 16, 2014, against Sri Lanka, and his last ODI was on February 8, 2020, against New Zealand. Kedar has participated in 73 ODIs and 9 T20Is. In 73 ODIs, he has scored 122 runs at an average of 20, and in 9 T20Is, he has scored 1389 runs at an average of 42.
