‘I write messages to him everyday, I don’t know whether he is…’ – Shikhar Dhawan opens up on relationship with his son, Zoravar

India’s star cricketer Shikhar Dhawan has recently opened up about his relationship with his son Zoravar. Notably, the star cricketer has been living without his son after his separation from his wife, Ayesha Mukherjee. The star cricketer has not been part of the national team; however, he is set to lead the Punjab Kings in the IPL 2024, which is set to commence on March 17.

The left-handed batter regretted that it had been five months since he had spoken to his child. In addition, the 38-year-old cricketer says that he is an extremely emotional guy and sends him love every day with positive energy.

“I was not in pain. I was just expressing my thoughts. It has been five months since I have spoken to him, I was just expressing emotions. I am an emotional guy and I was just trying to send love to him, because If I am sad while thinking about him that negative energy will get him,” Shikhar Dhawan said on the Humans Of Bombay Podcast.

I am a father and I am trying to do my duty: Shikhar Dhawan

Shikhar Dhawan is hopeful that one day his son will come to India to meet him. Moreover, the southpaw reveals that he sends him so much love and messages every day that he is unsure whether his child Zoravar is getting the messages or not. The star-opening batter misses his son so much and now has the habit of living without him every day

“Wherever he is, I hope he is happy hopefully one day he will come and see me. I am in love with him but at the same time, I am also detached. Don’t want to push him. I write messages to him every day, I don’t know whether he is receiving those or not, whether he is reading them or not. Don’t have any expectations. I have accepted it. I am a father and I am trying to do my duty. I miss him, I feel sad but I have learnt to live with it,” he added further.
