India’s skipper Rohit Sharma has recently heaped praise on star batter Virat Kohli. Notably, the former India skipper has been pulled from the first two matches of the Test series cities for personal reasons; however, he will be available for the last three Test matches. On the other hand, Rohit Sharma is all set to lead the side in all three formats, despite the ODI World Cup 2023 final debacle.

Notably, both star cricketers are set to play their last marquee event of the T20 World Cup in 2024. However, the 36-year-old skipper says that his teammate Virat Kohli has never been to NCA and feels that young people should learn from him about his fitness. The stylish right-handed batter talks about a few qualities that make the RCB stalwart exceptional.

“Virat Kohli has never been to NCA in his entire career. I would say that all the younger players should look up to the passion that he has. Leave alone how he plays the cover drive, flick, cut but first things first you have to understand what is the quality of the players that makes him where he is today,” Rohit Sharma said in a chat with Dinesh Karthik on Jio Cinema.

Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma revealed that Virat Kohli can be satisfied with what he has achieved so far, but he still has a lot of hunger and passion. The exceptional opener feels Virat Kohli never goes into a complacent situation which makes him a very unique batter, and it comes to him from within.

“I have watched Kohli enough. He can easily be satisfied with what he has achieved. He can say that I will take it easy in these 2-3 series, I will come later, but he is always there for the team. That mindset of being hungry and not complacent cannot be taught. You have to learn that from by looking at the others. However, it has to come from within. I cannot teach you that,” Rohit Sharma added further.
