India’s squad for next 3 Tests vs England announced; No Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer
The Indian Cricket Board has announced the squad for the rest of the three Test matches against England slated to take place in Rajkot, Ranchi, and Dharmshala, respectively. Notably, the India squad had marked the surprise omission and inclusion of the team for the next three Test matches. However, the series is currently 1-1 as both sides have scored one win, respectively.
India’s star cricketer, Virat Kohli, missed the first two Test matches citing personal reasons and has not been named in the squad for the rest of the three matches. However, the Indian Cricket Board has revealed a statement, which confirmed that Virat Kohli was unavailable for the selection, and the board set to respect his privacy and his decision to not appear in the remainder of the series.
“Virat Kohli will remain unavailable for selection for the remainder of the series due to personal reasons. The Board fully respects and supports Kohli’s decision,” the Indian Cricket Board said in a release.

Meanwhile, star cricketers Ravindra Jadeja and KL Rahul, who missed the second Test match owing to injury, have been named for the rest of the series. However, the Indian Cricket Board revealed that both star cricketers have not fully recovered, but there are chances of them playing in the series.
“The participation of Ravindra Jadeja and KL Rahul is subject to fitness clearance from the BCCI medical team,” the statement reads further.
Meanwhile, England won the first Test match by 28 runs despite India taking the lead in the first innings. However, Team India won the second Test match, which helped them level up the series by 1-1. Notably, Rohit Sharma and Co. will be looking to win the next three matches to boost their rankings in the WTC 2023–2025 cycle.
