‘World best All rounder’ – Fans react as Ravindra Jadeja hits fourth Test century, guides hosts to strong position in Rajkot vs England

India’s star cricketer Ravindra Jadeja hammered a magnificent century on Day 1 of the third Test match against England at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot on February 15. Notably, the star all-rounder hammered an unbeaten 110 runs from 212 balls, featuring nine boundaries and two sixes, to help India post 326/5 at the end of Day 1.

Speaking about the game here, it was India’s skipper Rohit Sharma who won the toss and invited England to field first in the game. Notably, after being opted to bat first, the side had posted a decent total of 326/5 at the stumps. Team India had a bad start as they were reduced to 33/3 on Day 1 as Yashasvi Jaiswal only made 10 runs while Shubman Gill was out on duck, whereas Rajat Patidar made just 5 runs.

However, it was India’s skipper, Rohit Sharma, who had the great courage to take India into the dominant position. The 36-year-old skipper made 131 runs from 196 balls, scoring 14 fours and three sixes, and shared the great stand with Ravindra Jadeja, who made an unbeaten 110 runs.

Ravindra Jadeja will be looking to boost India’s innings on Day 2 to keep the dominant total after the first inning

Following him, debutant Sarfaraz Khan also showed great form as he went on to score 62 runs from 66 balls, including nine boundaries and one six, to keep the hosts in dominating position. However, he lost his wicket due to a runout and looked extremely disappointed as he missed out on a well-deserved century. Meanwhile, England star pacer Mark Wood displayed great form as he went on to scalp three wickets, while Tom Hartley had one wicket to his name on Day 1 against India.
