‘Inzy bhai is far ahead of Rahul Dravid’ – Star Pakistan speedster makes a bold claim
Team India’s head coach Rahul Dravid is widely regarded as one of the best batters in the history of the game. Dravid, who was an integral part of the Indian team during his playing career, represented the side in 164 Tests and 344 ODIs, ranking among the Indians with the highest appearances for the team.
Widely considered one of the greatest batters to have played the game, Dravid also captained the side between 2005 and 2007.
The era saw a number of great batters including some in Dravid’s own team. In Pakistan, Inzamam-ul-Haq ruled the roost with consistent performances for the national team. Like Dravid, Inzamam had also led the Pakistan side – although for longer tenure – and represented the team in 120 Tests and 378 ODIs.
Inzy bhai performed exceptionally in all formats: Wahab Riaz
While fans generally avoid comparing players from different generations, comparisons between players from the same decade are common. Dravid and Inzamam both played for India and Pakistan around the same time, so a comparison is appropriate.
While Inzamam was regarded as the best Test player of his generation, Rahul Dravid was dubbed “The Wall” of India.
When asked to compare the two, Pakistan’s speedster Wahab Riaz sparked a debate with a rather straightforward response.
During an interview with CricBridge, the interviewer asked Wahab to choose between Inzamam and Dravid as the better batter. In reply, he chose the former Pakistan skipper, asserting that Inzamam excelled in both formats of the game.
“Inzy bhai. Inzy bhai performed exceptionally in all formats. He had a lot of time to play his shots against the pacers. Inzy bhai is far ahead of Rahul Dravid,” said Wahab.
"Inzamam Ul Haq was always a better player than Rahul Dravid. Inzamam bhai was an all-format player and he had a lot of time to play his shots even against the pacers. He was way ahead of Dravid," Wahab Riaz.

Meanwhile, Indian fans were quick to give Riaz a reality check by sharing both players’ statistics.
“@WahabViki must look at the stats first. He has more test average than Inzi and both have almost equal ODI averages and Dravid has 2 more ODI centuries playing lesser matches than Inzi,” wrote one user.
