WATCH: Ishan Kishan speaks kannada to groundsmen and fans during ODI World Cup 2023 clash vs Netherlands

India’s star cricketer, Ishan Kishan, has been enjoying his time with Team India’s success in the ODI World Cup 2023. However, the young batter was spotted giving autographs to the fans and groundsmen while speaking in Kannada during the game against the Netherlands in the ODI World Cup 2023 on November 12 at M. Chinnaswamy Cricket Stadium in Bangalore. The clip has been widely shared on social media, with some great comments in it.

The 25-year-old batter was in India’s starting lineup for the first two games of the ODI World Cup 2023. Notably, the left-handed batter got an opportunity in place of Shubman Gill, who was down with high dengue fever in his first two games. Kishan was dismissed for the duck in the opening game against Australia in Chennai on October 8.

However, the great batter put up 47 runs in their next match against Afghanistan but was unable to make an impact, which prompted captain Rohit Sharma and coach Rahul Dravid to sit him on the bench over Gill at the top order and Shreyas Iyer in the middle order. Following that, Kishan didn’t get an opportunity to be in India’s playing XI.

Ishan Kishan was in great form during the Asia Cup 2023

However, the top-order batter was able to get himself placed in the recently concluded Asia Cup 2023 owing to the wonderful West Indies series. IKishan played a magnificent knock in the middle orders and sparked a great partnership with all-rounder Hardik Pandya during the group-stage clash against Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2023.

Speaking about India’s campaign, Team India is currently unbeaten in the tournament with nine out of nine wins and finished at the top of the points table. Notably, Rohit Sharma and Co. have thrashed all nine other teams in the league stage and will be looking to get two more wins to repeat the history of the 2011 ODI World Cup in 2023. Meanwhile, the Men in Blue will be in action on November 15 during the first semi-final game against New Zealand at the iconic Wankhede Cricket Stadium in Mumbai.
