‘Isse acha toh 100 ki banyan khareed lete’ – Fans troll Lucknow franchise as they unveil new kit ahead of Indian T20 League

The Lucknow franchise, one of the tournament’s newest franchises, presented their team jersey for the 16th edition of the Indian T20 League. For the launching celebration, the team staged a clothing exhibition, and to top it off, franchise stars gathered. During the unveiling ceremony were Ravi Bishnoi, Avesh Khan, Jaydev Undakat, Deepak Hooda, and captain KL Rahul.

Sanjeev Goenka, owner of the Lucknow franchise, Jay Shah, the Indian Cricket Board secretary, and team mentor Gautam Gambhir were also present when the team unveiled its new outfit. The squad will hope that the new jersey will bring much-needed luck to their side as the Indian T20 League is around the corner. The uniform is dark blue in color with red stripes on the sides.

Lucknow and Delhi will face off in Match 3 in what would be both teams’ inaugural games in the biggest T20 competition in the world, which is scheduled to begin on March 31. The home and away format for the teams returns in the Indian T20 League in 2023 as well.

Consistency would be the secret to this campaign: Gautam Gambhir

For the competing teams, maximizing the favorable home surroundings and the crowd’s support could be crucial. Gautam Gambhir, the squad’s manager, thought about the same issue as he considered what might be crucial for the team coming into the event.

According to Gambhir, consistency would be the secret to this campaign. He emphasized the value of flexibility in response to various circumstances. The former India opener continued by saying that no matter where the team plays, the playing conditions will vary. The former Delhi franchise skipper also stated that, whether playing in Chennai or Jaipur, adapting to the playing environment could prove to be a crucial element.

The Lucknow-based franchise was bought up by the Sanjiv Goenka-owned RPSG Group for an astonishing 7,090 crores. Also, they spent a lot of money at the super auction, bidding INR 17.0 crores and INR 9.2 crores for Marcus Stoinis and KL Rahul, two important players of the side.
