‘It has become similar to how we felt about wishing to meet Sachin Tendulkar’ – Former CSK star on MS Dhoni’s aura

It’s quite notable that several young players took guidance from legendary cricketer MS Dhoni during the IPL. Notably, Punjab Kings batter Jitesh Sharma, Kolkata Knight Riders batter Rinku Singh, Mumbai Indians batter Tilak Varma, and Rajasthan Royals opener Yashasvi Jaiswal have opened up about the advice that they have received from former India skipper after the matches.

Meanwhile, speaking on the same subject, Gujarat Titans bowler Mohit Sharma feels star cricketer MS Dhoni has an influence on the younger generation, which is why so many young players talk to him. In addition, the right-arm pacer also talked about the similarity between CSK skipper MS Dhoni and Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar.

The 34-year-old said that former India cricketer MS Dhoni has the same aura as little master Sachin Tendulkar owing to what he has accomplished in his cricketing journey, and this is the reason why so many players ended up taking guidance from him no matter what the topic is.

It’s so good that even if you are present around MS Dhoni: Mohit Sharma

“The way Mahi bhai’s aura has become and what he has achieved in cricket, it has become similar to how we felt about wishing to meet Paaji [Sachin Tendulkar] at least once. It has become like that in the case of Mahi bhai for the younger generation. You see how players go to him after matches just to have that chance of having a conversation with him, no matter what the topic is,” Mohit Sharma told the Indian Cricket Podcast.

The Haryana-born cricketer also reveals that the 41-year-old legendary cricketer logically explains things to the player, and one just feels like listening to him every time. “It’s so good that even if you are present around MS Dhoni, you need not speak too much. The way he logically explains everything, you just feel like listening to it all the time,” he added.
