‘This is a beautiful msg’ – Fans react as Kapil Dev shares special message for Rohit Sharma on his Instagram after Team India loses ODI World Cup 2023 final

Team India lost the ODI World Cup 2023 final by six wickets against Australia on November 19 at the iconic Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad. Notably. Rohit Sharma and Co. have performed exceptionally well in the league stage as well as in the semi-finals; however, they were totally dominated by Men in Yellow in the final game on Sunday, and their hopes of winning the third title were crushed totally.

After the game, a plethora of cricketers were seen in tears and totally shattered by the loss, including Indian captain Rohit Sharma. However, 1983 ODI World Cup-winning skipper Kapil Dev took to social media and posted a heartwarming post for Rohit Sharma, who gave his full effort to win the prestigious title.

Kapil Dev took to Instagram to praise the Indian skipper and motivate him to look forward to the future that lies ahead of him and wrote, “Rohit you are a master at what you do. You have a lot of success awaiting for you. It’s tough I know but keep your spirits up. India is with you.”

Meanwhile, India captain Rohit Sharma feels they were not up to the mark and not scored enough runs on board to give a tough fight to the Aussies. In addition, the top-order batter also heaps praise on Travis Head and Marnus Labuschagne, who stitched the great partnership and guided their side to the great win.

“The result has not gone our way. We were not good enough today. We tried everything we could but I feel wicket got slightly better to bat under lights. Don’t want to give that as an excuse. We knew under lights it would be slightly better to bat, but don’t want to give that as an excuse. We didn’t put enough runs on the board. Credit to those two guys in the middle for stitching an outstanding partnership,” Rohit Sharma said after the match.
