‘Kitni ticket krva du Zimbabwe ki’ – Fans react as Shoaib Akhtar predicts Babar Azam to break Virat Kohli’s record

In the modern cricket era, former India skipper Virat Kohli is considered one of the greatest players of all time. He recently scored his Test century against Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy after a long gap of 1205 days. With this century, he increased his tally to 75 International hundreds and is the favorite to break Sachin Tendulkar’s record of 100 centuries in international cricket.

We have seen a lot of times that Pakistan cricket fans draw comparisons between Kohli and their national side skipper Babar Azam despite knowing that the former Bangalore franchise skipper made his debut back in 2008 and the 28-year-old made his debut seven years after him.

Babar is performing exceptionally well for quite a few time now for his side but still the former cricketers think that that the Peshawar Zalmi skipper has a long way to go before he is been compared to the former Bangalore franchise skipper as the latter has been started to recognised as a legend as he is still playing for his national side.

Babar Azam will score more centuries than Virat Kohli by the end of his career: Shoaib Akhtar

However, the former Pakistan seamer Shoiab Akhtar has said a big statement on both the cricketers which has left the cricket fans surprised. When Shoaib Akhtar participated in the Legends League Cricket 2023 in Doha just a little while back, he gave an interview where he discussed the centuries hit by Indian greats like Sunil Gavaskar and Tendulkar as well as Virat Kohli.

Virat Kohli can smash 110 centuries by the time of his retirement, according to Shoaib Akhtar. He continues by saying to convince Virat to continue playing till he is 43 years old, giving him an additional 8 to 9 years of playing time. In order to force 35-year-old to score 100 hundreds, he continues, India will make him play even while in a wheelchair.

The former Pakistani speedster also predicted that Kohli would eventually score fewer hundreds than Babar, who now has 28 to his credit. “Babar Azam will score more centuries than Virat Kohli by the end of his career,” Akhtar was quoted as saying on SportsAmaze.
