‘Brilliant inning, what a talent’ – Fans react as KL Rahul hammers magnificent ton to help India post 245 runs in 1st innings vs SA

India’s star cricketer KL Rahul hammered a magnificent hundred on Day 2 of the first Test game against South Africa in Centurion. Notably, the wicketkeeper batter scored 101 runs from 137 balls, featuring 14 boundaries and four sixes, to help India post 245 runs before getting an all-out on Day 2 of the first inning. Meanwhile, speaking about the game, South African skipper Temba Bavuma won the toss and invited the visitors to bat first in the game.

Notably, after being sent to bat first, Team India had an awful start as they crumbled to 23/3. However, Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer scored 68 runs to boot their camp. Meanwhile, the wicketkeeper batter came in at number 6 and played a great knock to help India post a respectable total against the strong home side.

India’s batting coach, Vikram Rathour, was extremely ecstatic to witness such remarkable performances from KL Rahul. In addition, the former India opener says that the 31-year-old cricketer always stood up for his side in challenging situations.

KL Rahul is turning out to be a man of crisis for us: Vikram Rathour

“Rahul is turning out to be a man of crisis for us. Every time, there are tough situations, he is the guy who handles it well for us. Nothing special, he was clear with his game plans, defended the right balls, and attacked the right one. It was always going to be challenging. The weather was an issue. The wicket was undercover for a day or more than that. It was always going to be challenging as a batting group. We would have loved to have a couple of more wickets in hand. But we have done reasonably well,” Vikram Rathour said ahead of Day 2.
