WATCH: India’s star cricketer KL Rahul visits Sree Siddaganga Mutt in Tumkur ahead of 4th Test match vs England
India’s star cricketer, KL Rahul, is likely to make his return in the fourth Test match slated to take place in Ranchi. Notably, the star cricketer was in the first Test, where his side suffered a defeat against England in Hyderabad. However, the wicketkeeper batter missed the second and third Test matches after sustaining hamstring injuries that ruled him out of the Test squad.
However, KL Rahul went to the Sree Siddaganga Temple in Tumkur with his parents ahead of the fourth Test, where he and his parents took part in religious rites and pooja to obtain blessings. Meanwhile, as KL Rahul made his way to his vehicle, enthusiastic fans surrounded him, keen to snap pictures of the cricket star. The video where he was mobbed by his fans during the rites was widely shared on social media.

Meanwhile, just a few days ago, the Indian Cricket Board revealed that KL Rahul is almost 90% fit and is now progressing well under the NCA. The board further confirmed that the star cricketer is set to be part of the third and fourth Test matches.
KL Rahul is reaching his match fitness and will be available for the next game: Report
“Mr. Rahul has reached 90 per cent of match fitness and is progressing well under the supervision of the BCCI Medical Team. He will continue his recovery process at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru to be completely match-fit for the fourth and fifth Test. The Men’s Selection Committee named Devdutt Padikkal as KL Rahul’s replacement for the third Test, starting February 15, 2024,” the press-release statement reads.
The Indian Cricket Board sources have recently confirmed that KL Rahul will be available for the next Test match in Ranchi. Notably, the star cricketer might replace star batter Rajat Patidar, who failed to make an impact in the ongoing Test series.
“As of now, it looks like KL Rahul is reaching his match fitness and will be available for the next game,” a top source in Indian Cricket Board management told the news outlet.
