Ravichandra Ashwin refuses to speak on Bazball ahead of ongoing 3rd Test series against England

In the ongoing five-match Test series, India and England have fought each other well. In the first Test in late January, the Three Lions were behind the eight ball at the Tea break on Day Three. However, post the break, Ollie Pope and others helped the team reach a fighting total. Chasing 231, the home team was bowled out for 202, losing the game by 28 runs.

In the last innings of the game, Ravichandran Ashwin and KS Bharat tried to win the game for the team but failed to do so. In the next Test early this month, the home team after the big first innings lead, kept the control within themselves. Chasing 399, the Three Lions were bowled out for 293, losing the game by 106 runs. With this, the five-match series is leveled 1-1 and both teams are on a break.

England player Dan Lawrence has gone to the UAE as his teammates are in the Middle Eastern country to relax. However, the right-hander is playing a few games in the ongoing second season of the International League T20. Meanwhile, Ashwin, who is only one wicket away from 500 Test scalps, has refused to speak a single word on England’s method, Bazball.

“I would talk about England’s game, their mental space and everything after the five matches get over. I don’t want to get into the intricate details right now,” Ashwin said on his YouTube channel as the teams are into a mid-series break.

The real show stealer is BoomBall: Ravichandran Ashwin

The two-time World Event winner added that he has seen the likes of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Jasprit Bumrah doing well. In the second Test, the former scored his maiden double hundred. On the other hand, Bumrah took a six-for in the first innings.

“The real show stealer is BoomBall,” Ashwin said. “We saw a little of Jaisball also. Jasprit Bumrah has bowled extraordinarily, being the leading wicket-taker with 14 wickets. He is also the latest number-one Test bowler in the world. A big congratulations from my side. I’m a big fan of him. This achievement is an Himalayan feat,” he added.
