Ravichandran Ashwin set to rejoin Team India on Day 4 of 3rd Test vs England

India’s star cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin is set to make his return on Day 4 of the third Test match taking place at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot. Notably, the 37-year-old cricketer has missed the entire of Day 3 owing to a personal emergency that had missed him from the game.

However, India’s great spinner, Kuldeep Yadav, reveals that there is a possibility of Ravichandran Ashwin making a comeback. The great cricketer also gives a major update about star batter Yashasvi Jaiswal, who retired hurt from the game after hammering his century on Day 3.

“I am not sure but I think Ash bhai is someone, who is coming back I guess. Jaiswal is feeling much better, He will hundred per cent bat. Close to 400 on Day 5 will be a good total. We have seen spinners bowling well, and getting more purchase from the wicket,” Kuldeep Yadav told Dinesh Karthik in an interview on Jio Cinema.

Meanwhile, the Indian Cricket Board also confirmed that India’s great all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin is set to join the team after missing the play on Day 3 of the third Test match. The board further says that the star cricketer will be back in action on Day 4 of the third Test match, and they request media and fans to give him privacy.

“The Board is pleased to announce the return of R Ashwin to the squad after a brief absence due to a family emergency. Ashwin had to temporarily withdraw from the squad after Day 2 of the 3rd Test in Rajkot to attend to a family emergency. Both R Ashwin and the team management are pleased to confirm that he will be back in action on Day 4 and will continue to contribute towards the team cause in the ongoing Test match. Ashwin and his family kindly request privacy as they navigate through these challenging times,” Jay Shah wrote in the statement.
