‘I won’t term England as one of the most difficult teams…’ – Ravindra Jadeja makes bold call for visiting side ahead of 3rd Test

India’s star cricketer Ravindra Jadeja is optimistic about playing good cricket ahead of the third Test match, which is slated to commence on February 15 in Rajkot. Notably, England won the first Test match despite India getting the lead; however, the hosts bounced back greatly in the second Test game to help India level up the series by 1-1.

However, the great all-rounder said that he wouldn’t say that England is the most difficult team, as other teams also come to India and have rigid competition. In addition to that, the 35-year-old cricketer also talks about the injury problem owing to the back-to-back matches they are scheduled to play.

“I won’t term England as one of the most difficult teams. It hasn’t been easy for other teams to come to India and play. If it wasn’t for small mistakes in the second innings of the first Test, we wouldn’t have lost. It is frustrating, but cricket has increased these days. I would like to give my 100 per cent to save my body and keep away from diving when not required. Here the wicket behaves differently in every game,” Ravindra Jadeja said ahead of the third Test.

We have the same excitement and play with the same pride: Ravindra Jadeja

Ravindra Jadeja affirms that he is set to play the third Test match with full enthusiasm, and nothing has changed his feelings despite not playing the second game. Moreover, the left-handed batter also expressed happiness for his teammate Ravichandran Ashwin, who is gearing up to scalp his 500th Test wicket. Furthermore, the great spinner is excited to be part of his milestone in the upcoming Test match.

“Nothing has changed. We have the same excitement and play with the same pride. The idea is to give my 100 per cent but protect my body. Try not to dive unless absolutely necessary. Ashwin will complete his 500 wickets in Rajkot. I am very excited for him as I have been playing with him for the last 12-13 years. I thought he would complete it in the first Test but now he will do it in my hometown,” he added further.
