WATCH: India batters Rinku Singh and Jitesh Sharma open up about their match-winning partnership in 4th T20I vs Australia

Team India has sealed the five matches of the T20I series against ODI World Cup 2023 champions Australia during the fourth T20I game, which took place on December 1 in Raipur. Notably, the hosts were already ahead in the series by 2-1 ahead of the fourth T20I game. Suryakumar Yadav-led Team India won the first two T20Is, which gave them a massive lead. However, Australia tremendously bounced back in the third T20I, despite Team India posting the massive total on board.

Speaking about the fourth game here, Team India posted a total of 174/9 despite being reduced early in the game. However, it was Rinku Singh who hammered 46 runs from 29 balls, along with Punjab Kings batter Jitesh Sharma, who also scored 35 runs from 19 balls, to help India post a decent total against the Aussies. However, during the chase, Australia could only manage 154/9 in the given 20 overs and lost the game by 20 runs.

After the win, the Indian Cricket Board shared a delightful video featuring IPL stars Rinku Singh and Jitesh Sharma. Notably, Rinku Singh reveals the tactics and pragmatic approach he used in the game to help India post a respectable total against Australia during the fourth T20I game.

“Well I have been playing for a long time. I have been playing in the IPL for 5-6 years now. So, that has given me the confidence. I back myself, try to keep myself calm,” said Rinku Singh, while speaking to Jitesh in a video.

However, wicketkeeper batter Jitesh Sharma also talks about how he had admired Rinku Singh’s calmness after securing a partnership with him in the game. In addition, the middle-order batter also opened up about the talks he had with the KKR batter during batting.

“It didn’t look like that this was your (Rinku) first series. I was under a lot of pressure when I can in to bat, you were so calm, picking and choosing the ball to hit,” Jitesh told Rinku.

“You kept telling me to take it easy and not to take pressure,” Jitesh Sharma told Rinku Singh.
