Can Rohit Sharma find his form?
After the massive win over England, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma and his team got a break. The focus now shifts to the third Test match in Rajkot which begins on Thursday. The form of Rohit Sharma in particular will be keenly looked at. It hasn’t been a great start to the series with the bat for India’s master batsman. In the first two games, Rohit Sharma has failed to go past the half-century mark. There is also the controversy regarding his Mumbai Indians captaincy that is playing in his mind.
Mark Boucher had recently said “It’s just more of a cricketing decision that was made and I do think it is going to bring the best out of Rohit as a person as a player. Just let him go out and enjoy and score some good runs. He’s been captaining for ages and he’s done really well for Mumbai Indians.”
The former South African keeper also said “ Now he also leads India as well. It is that he walks into a place and there’s just cameras in it and he’s so busy and he hasn’t had probably the best couple of seasons of late with the bat but he’s done well as a captain.”
Once this entire situation went down, Ritika Sajdeh slammed the statement. Even Mumbai Indians fans weren’t pleased with the treatment meted out to their icon. It was under Rohit Sharma that Mumbai Indians have become one of the best teams in IPL history.
