‘Sai baba ke paas jaa raha me abb se’ – Fans react as Prithvi Shaw shares Instagram story with his ‘wifey’ on Valentine’s Day

India youngster Prithvi Shaw confirmed his relationship with model and actress Nidhi tapadia on February 14 which is also known for valentine’s Day. In the Instagram story, the couple is seen posing together. Sharing the story the 23-year-old wrote:

“Happy Valentine’s my wifey @nidhitapadiaa.” However, the Mumbai cricketer deleted the post within a few minutes.

Shaw made his comeback into the international team after more than 18 months. He was included in the three-match T20I series against New Zealand but he didn’t get a chance to play.

Shaw is in a race with Australian veteran cricketer David Warner to become the next skipper of the Delhi franchise for the upcoming edition as star India cricket Rishabh pant is said to miss the tournament due to multiple injuries he sustained during his car accident in December last year.

‘Help him get on the right track’: Gautam Gambhir

The Delhi based franchise have bought explosive batters like South Africa’s Rilee Rossow and England’s Phill Salt for the Indian T20 League which is scheduled to begin in March’s later half.

The 23-year-old has not been chosen in the Indian Test squad despite regularly scoring in domestic competitions. His most recent appearance for India was in a T20I in July 2021. He came in second place in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy this season with 332 runs at a strike rate of 181.42 with a highest score of 134 against Assam.

He had a mediocre Vijay Hazare Trophy campaign, where he scored only 217 runs in seven innings, at an average of over 50 in List A cricket. Former Indian batter Gautam Gambhir recently advised coaches and selectors to support Shaw and keep him on their radar by endorsing him.

“Someone like Prithvi Shaw, the kind of start he had to his international career and the kind of talent he has, you back a player on talent. Yes, you have to look at the upbringing as well – where he comes from and the challenges he’s had as well. It makes even more sense for the management and the selectors to keep him around the mix, and help him get on the right track,” Gambhir was quoted as saying by Zee News.
