WATCH: Shubman Gill misses century, gets run-out on 91 after horrible mix-up with Kuldeep Yadav in 3rd Test vs England
India’s star cricketer Shubman Gill broke his bat in anger after his displeasure at failing to score his fourth Test century in Rajkot. Notably, the stylish right-handed batter was dismissed after scoring 91 runs in the second inning of the third Test match taking place at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium.
However, on Day 4, Shubman Gill, who was 65 at the start of the game, failed to score the century that he greatly deserved. The 25-year-old was run out during the morning session of Day 4 after an incorrect interaction with star bowler Kuldeep Yadav. The star cricketer hammered 91 runs from 151 balls, featuring nine boundaries and two sixes to keep the side in a commanding position.
Meanwhile, Kuldeep Yadav went out to take on Tom Hartley in the last ball of the 64th over; however, he was only able to hit the ball to mid-on. England captain Ben Stokes caught the ball quickly and threw it in the direction of the non-striker. Notably, the star batter realized the mistake and made the turn a little too late, as he was already rather far off the crease.
