India’s star batter Shubman Gill reveals bucket list for 2023; most tons and other resolutions on list

Team India’s star cricketer Shubman Gill has commented on the year 2023 in his recent Instagram post. Notably, the opening batter shared a list of what he wanted to achieve in 2023 through his wonderful post. The opening batter was the leading run scorer in the IPL 2023, which guided his side to end their journey as the first runner-up. However, the stylish right-handed batter failed to make an impact in the WTC Final and the ODI World Cup 2023 Final, which made them lose both events against Australia.

Shubman Gill admitted that he wasn’t able to achieve what he had planned a year ago; however, he came very close to his dreams. In addition, the star cricketer was also able to surpass Babar Azam to place himself as the number one ODI batter. Moreover, Gill had much to learn from his experiences in his cricketing career.

Meanwhile, the 24-year-old cricketer is looking forward to achieving all his goals in 2024. Shubman Gill is currently in South Africa and will play the second Test match against the hosts in Cape Town. However, the star cricketer didn’t have a great phase after the ODI World Cup 2023, which made him lose the top spot in the ODI rankings as well. Gill will be a crucial player for India in the T20 World Cup in 2024.

The coming year brings its own challenges and opportunities: Shubman Gill

“Exactly a year ago, I put it out into the universe. With 2023 coming to an end, the year has been full of experiences, some great fun and other great learnings. The end of the year didn’t go as planned, but I can proudly say we came ever so close to our goals, giving everything we had,” Shubman Gill wrote on his social media post.

“The coming year brings its own challenges and opportunities. Hopefully, we’ll get closer to our goals in 2024. I hope all of you find love, joy, and strength in everything you do,” he added further.
